CPA chief steps down CPA Chief Exec Kevin Minton has given notice of his intention to step

down, and the association has now started the process of finding a successor. Kevin has been with CPA for 15 years, and will remain in place until

the first quarter of 2023, allowing time for a smooth handover. He joined CPA as Technical and Safety Manager in 2007, before becoming Director in 2014, and Chief Executive in 2018. In a letter to members, Kevin said: “I have had the privileges of

leading this association, and a great team of professional and dedicated staff since 2018; and of being part of Colin Wood’s team for 11 years before that. The time is right now for a change, and I will be pleased to hand control to a new Chief Executive who can lead the association on challenges the sector will face in the near future.” While CPA President Brian Jones added: “It has been a pleasure to work with Kevin over the past 15 years, and we wish him well for his retirement. Thanks to his efforts and those of the CPA team, the association is in a stronger place than ever before. We continue to develop our support for members and to put construction plant hire at the forefront of policy makers’ minds. Membership is growing, and CPA Council is looking forward to new challenges and opportunities.”

Bobcat revs up Bobcat has expanded its range of products, with the launch of

the compact TL25.60 telehandler, the S86 and T86 compact loaders, and the MT100 track loader. The TL25.60 has been designed for simplicity of use, stability,

optimal operator comfort and safe operation in any type of application. It is powered by a 75 HP Stage V engine, with an operating capacity of 2,500kg, a lift height of 5.91m and a maximum reach of 3.31m. The ‘Bob-Tach’ carriage (manual or hydraulic) increases versatility by allowing the machine to utilise attachments designed for the Bobcat loader range. Meanwhile, the S86 and T86 are the most powerful compact

loaders that Bobcat has ever built. Both machines use Stage V 3.4l engines producing 78 kW at 2600RPM. They benefit from a choice of three auxiliary flow outputs and increased lifting capabilities. The S86/T86 set new standards for operator comforts, including low noise and vibration levels inside the sealed and pressurised cab, which itself also has an HVAC system as standard. Visibility is likewise improved, with 75% of the side windows being mesh-free and a handy rear-view camera. Other highlights include horsepower and speed management and dual direction bucket positioning, with further options such as 5-link torsion suspension, a 7 inch display, a reversible cooling fan and automatic ride controls ensuring a smoother ride on all terrains. Lastly, the MT100 mini track loader delivers a rated operating

capacity of 460kg, a tipping load of 1314 kg, a powerful breakout force and a lift height of 2,057 mm. Moveable counterweights allow users to tailor the lift capacity

or ground engagement depending on the application. As standard, the counterweights sit in the front undercarriage to provide optimal ground engagement. Moving them to the rear uprights increases lift capacity to 485 kg and the tipping load to 1,387 kg when needed. The Stage V, 25 HP engine on the MT100 works efficiently to

drive the equipment. The track drive and 41 l/min auxiliary hydraulics ensure the MT100 can be used for multi-function work, carried out using the different attachments available.
