Dragon develops EHS 2022 debutants, Dragon Equipment, has announced the

latest addition to its estimable range – the PB1000 power barrow. Built using the same all-terrain tracks as all of the Dragon

Equipment range, the PB1000 is capable of safely carrying, lifting and tipping loads of up to 1,000kg. The new machine benefits from a steel bucket, ensuring that it can stand up to the toughest of jobs on commercial and domestic sites. Plus, with a weight of under 650kg and width options to suit all situations, it’s easy to move using a van, truck or trailer. The PB1000 bucket in its lowest position is just 870mm off the

ground, making loading by hand easier – easier still with Dragon’s CR300 Crusher, no doubt. With the bucket fully raised it reaches to 1,425mm, so it can safely tip into a skip. As with all Dragon machinery, the PB1000 is powered by a Vanguard 400 14HP petrol engine, which features an integrated cyclonic air filtration system and maintenance intervals that are double the industry standard. A diesel option is also available upon request.

Makita lights the way Makita has launched two new cordless worklights, which are

compatible with 40VMax XGT and 18V LXT batteries and are IP65- certified dust and water resistant. The ML005 40VMax XGT Cordless worklight has three brightness

settingsdelivering up to 3,600 lumens and offering approximately 3.5 hours of continuous illumination on high mode when used with the BL4040 battery. The light has a controller with a memory function, so it returns to the last brightness setting when turned on. Meanwhile, the ML009 40VMax XGT Cordless Worklight emits up

to 10,000 lumens, with a lighting coverage of approximately 9.7m to the front and 11.4m either side. In addition, an optional lampshade provides widespread illumination and reduces the glare of LED light and multiple shadows. When in high mode the ML009 can offer up to 2.4 hours of illumination, when used with two BL4040 batteries. Both lights have an LED colour of daylight white and a colour

temperature of 5,000k, offering optimum visibility for intricate work or decoration. They can be rotated from -30° to 210° for easy adjustment of the light angle and can be mounted on an optional tripod lighting stand (GM00002073, not included).
