P&P LIVE! 2020 Review

We were delighted by the response of our new 2020 catalogue and sample pack that we launched at Printwear & Promotion LIVE! The uptake from the visitors was very encouraging and we were overwhelmed by the complimentary comments from those who visited our stand. The new range of items we showcased included a variety of Christmas gifts, photo gifts, keyrings, glitter photo frames and new additions to our badge machine portfolio. From keyrings and magnets to stationery and photo frames, we have all your promotional and gift needs covered!

Printwear & Promotion LIVE! 2020 was a great show for Absolute Apparel, existing customers and new visitors. There was extremely positive feedback on our UK exclusive brands (Atlantis Headwear, Casual Classics, Eco Spirit, Korntex Safetywear and the full Stedman Collection). It was a fantastic opportunity for all to see the garments in person and really get a feel for the high quality on offer. The real star of the show seemed to be the new Eco Spirit brand, with all customers leaving the stand impressed with the high quality and styling, while also being shocked at the generous price points of this new sustainable range.

W A new decade sees a new level of interest

ith heat transfer vinyl fit for a new decade, Dae Ha was overwhelmed with visitors across all three days of P&P LIVE! With Dae Ha showing no signs of slowing down in research and development, eight new films were showcased. Products of note included fast pressing One Flex, exclusive Shimmer Flex and Ultra Soft Metallic, a host of new Ultra Reflective colours, and the return of Chameleon Flex.

Rhinotec Plotters provoked huge amounts of interest among the throng of visitors to the Dae Ha stand, with their futuristic design, ease of use, free additional extras such as a stand, and exclusive access to RhinoExplore.com, proving a big hit.

Built to last a life time, Lotus heat presses proved popular and intriguing in equal measure. While predominately suited to large volume printers, visitors were able to see and feel the difference a Lotus press makes, when compared with others, for all manner of applications, not just for garments.

A very healthy uplift in sales since the exhibition has proven once again, that the draw of Dae Ha’s premium quality heat transfer vinyl, and exclusive equipment, has yet again wowed new and existing customers alike.

All-round garment decoration solutions for customers

his year’s show saw Doro Tape UK launch the new Poli-Flex Turbo range of coloured heat transfer vinyl, a garment decoration film that combines a high-quality PU film with super-fast heat pressing times and low temperatures. This definitely provided many customers, both existing and new, the perfect solution to all-round garment decoration. However, it was Doro Tape’s new range of machinery that really stole the show. Offering both entry level and professional grade cutters, the company introduced something for everyone ready to take the next step with their business. The ever-popular Silhouette Cameo 4 was an instant hit, with many visitors having this already on their radar. However, it seemed that the SkyCut vinyl cutters took many by surprise with their range of optional extras, allowing the user to tailor their machine perfectly.

P&P LIVE! has developed into an integral part of our year. To have a large show like this in January gets the year off to a great start and it provides us with an opportunity to meet with many of our current customers while also introducing our ranges to potential new clients that may be entering the industry, or looking to branch out into new areas. The visitors to the show are so varied in terms of their background, from workwear and embroidery companies to school suppliers and sportswear you never know what the next person may be interested in. It’s also always a lively event in an industry that is keen to innovate and develop. This ties in with our own strategy and it is a real pleasure to talk about new developments within our ranges and the wider market. We also took part in the fashion show and it was great to see our garments on stage. We decided to showcase a progression in uniform, starting with our standard tunics and trousers and then moving onto a more modern scrub style, finally finishing with the Advance dye sublimated uniform. It definitely created interest for us and we are already thinking about what to launch at the 2021 show!
