P&P LIVE! 2020 Review
Now that another Printwear & Promotion LIVE! is behind us, we cast a look
The Adelco team
After eight years, Printwear & Promotion LIVE! is one of the most important trade fairs and a key event within the annual Roly calendar. With presence at the exhibition since 2012, the importance of P&P LIVE! for Roly has been parallel to the growth of the brand within the British market. Roly's passage through this year's edition can only be described as very successful. Our stand received a large number of visitors, who knew first-hand the extensive catalogue for 2020 and the different collections that make it up, all of them agreeing to highlight the great quality/ price offered by Roly products. As usual, our presence at Printwear & Promotion LIVE! ended up becoming a valuable professional experience. An opportunity that we take to continue strengthening our position within the UK market.

P
&PLIVE! 2020 was the perfect place for Wilcom to launch the new EmbroideryConnect WiFi Device. This is Wilcom’s very own developed wireless embroidery solution to improve production automation and reduce operating costs. This year brought in real quality visitors who were serious about buying Wilcom products and they really knew what they were looking for.
The stand as usual was extremely popular with a steady stream of visitors looking for hands-on demonstrations and they were highly engaged. The latest EmbroideryStudio e4.5 was also showcased with great reception. It introduces a number of exciting and new stitch types which seemed to really resonate with both new and existing customers. The key new creative tools included the Maze Fill, Reef Photo Stitch and the Hand Stitch Effect. The team created some wonderful stitched examples for visitors to touch and feel which really brought the experience to life.
It felt as if the pre-show marketing efforts by both P&P LIVE! and the Wilcom team hit the mark and reached the right people at the right time.
As always, P&P LIVE! was a great success and a highlight for the Wilcom teams both in Europe and Australia.
A show full of surprises T
his year’s Printwear & Promotion LIVE! was full of
surprises.Team AJS was pleasantly surprised not only with the number of visitors to their stands, but by the diversity and spread of the type of work that customers are doing with embroidery machines, direct to garment printers and lasers.
In garment decoration, customers are offering many more services and products these days, through many avenues.
The number of ‘new starters’ visiting AJS was phenomenal which is always a good sign, and as a result many direct to garment, single head and small multi-head embroidery machines orders were actually taken on the stand.
Customers were ordering multiple machines in both single and multi-heads which again shows the strength of the embroidery sector right now.

back at the experience and the many years in which we have been a part of the show. In fact, we have been a constant attender since 1996, and it is a true testament to the organisers and the exhibitors that the show keeps on going when many others have long disappeared. Both our stands, YES Ltd and Ricoma UK, were as colourful as each other, and we really turned some heads. We are very pleased to say that both were as equally well attended and successful. Most of the machines we showcased were sold, and sales continue to flow in providing already existing business with a valuable addition to their production, and a powerful kickstart to those who have only just started. It was lovely to see both our loyal customers, as well as to meet those new ones with whom we partnered at the show. To all of you, we want to say a massive ‘Thank you!’ for having chosen us and for your trust in our team. We won’t disappoint! To celebrate our 25th anniversary, we offered a brand-new SWF MAN12 embroidery machine, which was exhibited at our YES Ltd stand. We welcomed everyone who stopped for a chat to enter the prize draw at the show, and many of you did. The lifeblood of any commercial organisation is new business, and exhibitions such as Printwear & Promotion LIVE! offer this exact opportunity to those eager to extend their expertise and dedicate their time to the customers. Would we say the show was successful? Well, we can’t answer for others, but it certainly was for us!
