in the year with the SG2 series. At 30in wide, the SG2-300 is the most compact model in the TrueVIS range, but in spite of its size, it still comes with the same advanced technology as its larger siblings. This is an ideal partner for garment decorators or print service providers looking to expand their product range and accelerate production.
This leads us nicely to the variety of new products that Roland DG was exhibiting on its own stand. Visitors were able to see the return of the BT-12 DTG printer (which premiered in 2019), the BN-20 printer/ cutter and the LEF-12i UV printer. Visitors could also see the TrueVIS SG2-300 if they missed it on the Amaya stand. Visitors were also lucky enough to get a sneak preview of the soon to be released XT-640S-DTG, Roland’s all new multi-station direct to garment printer. This printer is capable of printing white and CMYK pigment ink onto light or coloured garments, while its flexible, easy-to-load jig system, and printing speed lets it easily keep up with the busiest production.

Whether you were looking to invest in your first press or looking to upgrade your existing set-up, both manual and automatic presses were well represented at the exhibition. The latest innovation from Adelco – the Cyclone automatic printing press – was demonstrated live throughout the exhibition. The range is available in three sizes, small medium and large, and is based upon robust, heavy duty foundations. Bespoke lightweight aluminium extrusions and precision CNC parts are fitted with meticulous attention to detail. This is a truly cutting-edge range of presses.
The XT-640S-DTG will soon be released to the UK market Rob Goleniowski, head of sales UK and Ireland, commented:
“We’ve had a huge amount of interest in the XT-640S-DTG. Printwear & Promotion LIVE! was a great opportunity to showcase the new printer ahead of its official launch at FESPA 2020 Madrid, and based on the feedback we received from visitors, this will be a game changing product for the market.” In terms of wide format printers, both Sabur Digital and R.A. Smart were exhibiting new models, with many sales made on stand.
The new award-winning Poseidon high speed sublimation printer, showcased on Sabur’s stand, proved to be very popular. Dean Sanger, managing director, said: “People not involved in the sublimation industry could not believe the football kit on the mannequin was the same as what was coming off the printer, ‘some sort of magic’ was the phrase of the day.” R.A. Smart used the exhibition as the exclusive first showing of the HP Stitch S300 model in the UK, which certainly grabbed

Screen Print World was exhibiting the new Genesis manual screen printing press from M&R – a four-colour/ one-station entry-level press. It is both economical and efficient, and the team received a great deal of interest from visitors. On the same stand Screen Print World was also exhibiting its new range of drying cabinets. These are fully insulated to retain heat and vented to allow the heat to circulate within. And sticking within the realms of conventional screen printing equipment, new exhibitor Lotus Holland grasped the opportunity with both hands to get the Evo compact reclaiming system in front of a UK audience for the first time.
