Reader Survey Results

viewed and used by its readers or if indeed it is even being sent to those who still want to receive it!

How the magazine is viewed

On to Printwear & Promotion, our readers’ view of the magazine has, in recent years, been assessed by their interactions with us across our various platforms. From the start of 2017 almost 5,000 new and existing readers’ have subscribed or resubscribed to receive copies of the magazine. Each year on the P&P stand at our show we receive many complimentary comments about the magazine. Add to this a growing number of over 3,000 readers following us across our social media platforms, as well as 4,000+ monthly visitors to the magazine’s website, gives us confidence in that what we are currently doing appeals to, and is being well received by our audience! However, in this advancing digital age, we felt that more was needed to get a deeper insight into our readers views on, as well as understanding of how they read and use the magazine – enter in to the fray the good old reader survey! Written replies to these have in the past been difficult to come by, but in the digital age sending and requesting replies to surveys is a lot easier, and makes it possible to receive a greater number of responses (especially when you have an

email address database well in excess of 10,000) and for the survey to have real value! Consequently, after some thought and deliberation about exactly what we wanted to learn, we put together a series of questions for an in-depth reader survey, which was sent last autumn. Although a good amount of this focused on how our readers viewed and rated specific aspects of our content and thus is for assessment by the publisher and editor in shaping the magazine moving forward, many of the findings regarding reading habits and the magazine’s influence and appeal provide interesting viewing for our readers and advertisers alike! On behalf of myself and Melanie, our editor, I would personally like to thank all of our readers who took part in the survey, your feedback is much appreciated and has really helped us to understand much more about how you view, use and what you want from the magazine. On behalf of the Printwear & Promotion team, I also thank all our advertisers for their ongoing support. In these very challenging times, we appreciate that you need to have even more confidence in your choice of media, we trust that the summary report of our survey findings further enhances the credentials of the magazine and your confidence in us as your media partner!
