irect to garment printing has come a long way in the few years it has been around
and much of the development has been down to the collaboration of two companies, DTG Digital and Your Embroidery Services Ltd (YES Ltd). Between them they have been constantly pushing boundaries, always looking at how to give their customers that extra advantage in a very competitive market. They were among the first, with this style of machine, to develop specifically manufactured hardware and firmware as opposed to adapting something that was already on the market. They were also the first to bridge the gap between small and bulk order printing with the introduction
of the M-Series machines, and the new M3 Industrial carries that advantage forward being a machine that is just as comfortable printing one-offs as bulk runs. Much of the development around direct to garment printing has concentrated, as you would expect, on printing but YES Ltd has come up with yet another winning combination with the introduction of the Spangle Elite. This small footprint spangle attaching machine offers an incredible easy and efficient way of attaching spangles to a garment. This, on its own, creates a stunning effect that is very much in vogue at the moment but YES Ltd has gone one step further by combining spangles and direct-to-garment printing. The results have been stunning and were very well received at P&P LIVE! 2017 where all of these machines were shown for the first
time in the UK. With this winning combination of the DTG Digital M3 Industrial, the EZ-Treat PRO and the Spangle Elite you can now offer a wider range of effects to your customers,

dam Youngman started Custom Kings in February equipped with an Epson SureColor SC-F2000 direct to garment
printer supplied by DTG Solutions. He said: “I am so pleased about how quickly
the business is growing – and most of it by word of mouth. I bought the SureColor because I knew from previous experience just how good this printer is and really easy to use. It produces great quality on coloured and white T shirts and polo shirts, and with efficient use of ink. “I have a selection of platen sizes – and the medium grooved platen is particularly good for handling zipped shirts and even full zip through jackets. I really like the fact that Epsonʼs new Eco Tube wash feature means that the printer
uses very little white ink during the daily maintenance routine. It only takes 10 minutes and I am back in production.” The SureColor printer has proved extremely popular. Epsonʼs Neil Greenhalgh adds: “Sales have exploded across Europe as companies want a printer they can depend on to work all day, every day, that needs very little maintenance and – of course – produces superb-quality products. Itʼs the only printer on the market where everything has been designed and made entirely by one company, including the dedicated CMYK + white ink and pre-treatment fluid.”

The R-Jet 5’s big brother will land in a matter of weeks
T
he success of the R-Jet 5, in the field now for over four years has undeniably exceeded all of Resoluteʼs expectations.
Based on this success the development team at Resolute wanted to offer more
performance, two years ago they started developing a non-Epson based commercial DTG printer from the ground up. The R-Jet 6 made its first
appearance at Printwear & Promotion LIVE! 2017 and was very well received and is due to hit the UK market in a matter of weeks. This high volume 12 channel DTG printer is set to raise the bar in performance using cutting edge new technology which allows for greater performance and reduced running costs. with ease, the three-axis laser controlled carriage allows for shirts to be loaded on and off while the printer remains running resulting in no operator idle time. During tests it printed two dark shirts in a little under two minutes making the production speed comparable to other high end systems.
