P&P LIVE! 2017 review

David Sharp – putting names to faces of happy customers

O

ver the past few years for David Sharp, Printwear & Promotion LIVE! has been as much about

checking in with existing customers as it has about meeting new ones. The feedback from existing customers is always a good talking point, discussing new techniques and services. David Sharp prides itself in being the

UK's largest embroidery digitiser, and its after care service and advice is one of the reasons for the companyʼs success, and P&P LIVE! has become an extension of that. Giving the team the opportunity to offer help and advice face to face is invaluable; the best ways to make the most from new embroidery products,

TC Supplies was on stand A80 again this

year. The company had a number of new products on display as well as its full range of embroidery frames and embroidery backing. As a result, ETC Supplies opened a number of new customer accounts from companies that it has never been in contact with before.

Customers were very impressed with

the companyʼs product range, especially the Magnetic Mighty Hoops that work on fabrics that nothing else will do. ETC Supplies was also showing for the first time its range of Allied Embroidery Frames. ETC Supplies was able to demonstrate all these frames and the framing station

the many ways for customers to offer new and exciting embroidery – such as 3D embroidery, appliqué, and embroidered badges. The team was happy to be able to offer advice and improvement techniques on services and general production advice. David Sharp will be back in 2018 for sure.

options available to customers. This was a unique opportunity for customers to try all the different frames and framing stations in one place. Customers were very impressed to

see this range of frames and especially the fact that ETC Supplies could supply any frame to fit any brand and size of embroidery machine. Also on display was ETC Suppliesʼ range of embroidery thread and backings. Customers could see all 77 embroidery backings and view the embroidered samples to see how they perform. Many samples of ETC Suppliesʼ Premium Embroidery Thread were given away as customers want to move away from the more expensive brands.

Printwear & Promotion LIVE! is always a great platform to showcase both our new and existing product ranges. Most importantly, it is also the perfect opportunity to meet new and existing customers, whose loyalty and valued support enables us to continue to grow, and this year was no exception.

We came equipped with our largest team yet, all of whom were kept busy by the constant stream of visitors who were given the guided tour of our four brands. All of our new collections for 2017 were on display, which included a staggering 66 products in total. It was also the first time Westford Mill had its own dedicated stand and the reaction from our customers was extremely encouraging. Another big draw was the Bag & Headwear Decoration Advice stand. Our headwear

and bags are the perfect blank canvases for others to communicate their own logo or message and we had a range of bags and headwear being decorated by a team of specialists, supported by partners in the industry. Their expertise was an asset and having decorated product on the stand enabled customers to easily visualise the end product, as well as highlighting the endless decoration opportunities available to them. The customer is always our top priority and being able to engage with them

face to face and hear their feedback is very rewarding. Caroline Rylance, marketing, assistant, Beechfield Brands

The entry level EM1010 offers a 10 colour machine with cap frames and the introduction of the two head gives smaller embroiderers a cost effective way of getting into the multi-head market without needing huge resources. Our leasing options giving customers

up to five years to pay has been a massive focus at the show with most customers taking this option when funding their equipment. We will definitely be back next year!

Another great show for BTC activewear

W

ith its strongly themed Tex-Mex stand, BTC activewear had its best ever reaction at this yearʼs

P&P LIVE! Customers enjoyed the legendary BTC hospitality while being introduced to new products and exclusive brands displayed close by. New for 2017 is Nakedshirt, a collection

of retail-inspired styles with that on-trend edge, made from natural materials for great comfort. The range was featured on the catwalk of the fashion show and received a fantastic reaction, especially from visitors looking for tagless fashion styles that can easily be re-branded. The SG clothing stand was constantly busy with visitors interested in the great printability of this popular collection of menʼs, ladies and kidʼs styles. The collection offers customers a raft of fresh new marketing material to use for 2017. The eye-catching Jassz stand complete

with free standing bath, featured a host of new for 2017 additions including a much extended choice of colours across key products within the bags and apron ranges. Once again, P&P LIVE! 2017 proved to be a great show for BTC activewear.
