Resolute secures contract with Kodak to manufacture its water-based DTG inks in the UK
Codenamed Brexink, the negotiations between the New York-based giant Eastman Kodak company and Resolute DTG have been on going for almost a year. As soon as it was clear the UK was destined to leave the EU at some point, Resolute’s managing director, Colin Marsh, set to work on securing a manufacturing deal, to safeguard pricing on a high quality product for the UK DTG textile industry that could not be affected by leaving the EU.

The inks will be produced by Resoluteʼs manufacturing partner, Mexar Inkjet Solutions. The specialist inkjet development company will use its expertise to produce the high-quality Kodak DTG inks on British soil. The product will be available for a range of print heads with the new ʻFormulation Eʼ being first to market in 2019. Ricoh, Kyocera and other formulations are scheduled to roll out through 2020.
