Decorator Profile
Please explain your margins in a little more detail.
We strive to offer lower priced print solutions without compromising on quality. Having experienced some staggeringly high prices in the print industry, every day businesses are still paying them without realising that they could get an identical item through us for a fraction of the price. In times like these, it’s more important than ever to keep your prices lean.
We’ve seen recent challenges in terms of supply chain issues and price rise hikes in all industry. Is this the same at Mina Group? It’s very relevant in our market and all of our suppliers have had to increase their prices, because their suppliers have put up their prices. However, the cost of importing has reduced significantly compared to the height of the pandemic. And those price decreases haven’t filtered through the supply chain as of yet, so yes, it’s increasingly difficult. Fortunately, we haven’t put up our prices, we don’t see us changing our position on that. At the moment, our prices are frozen for the next couple of months. We’ve got a good relationship with our customers, and we’re honest and transparent with our pricing model. So this is the main reason why we’ve kept our prices frozen. And fortunately, this has been a good decision.
Some of our suppliers that we work with, they do have planned price decreases, coming down the line, not all of them not on every product, but certainly on some on some things. And we have a no minimum order quantity limit, which means that because of the volumes that we’re ordering, we’re already on discounted pricing, or less than the average price from our suppliers, which means that we don’t necessarily have to pass on that price increase.
As a business what is your USP? We’ve tried to build our business on good quality and reliable service. We don’t always get it right, but as long as we’re giving excellent customer service, our customers can trust us and that’s a big selling point.

And explain your pricing strategy? We offer a price match promise price. Businesses are looking to tighten up, and so it’s becoming more prevalent in our industry that customers are are trying to be a little savvier in terms of prices and we’re reflecting that in our strategy.
How would you assess the future health of the industry? I think the there’s no question about it, there’s a huge demand for branded workwear and embroidered and printed clothing at the moment. I think there’s
more of a demand for it now than pre-pandemic. In our experience, Covid-19 was a massive growth opportunity for us as we doubled in size as a company. We have noticed that workwear and branded clothing have become quite symbolic within business. Businesses like to give it out to their employees, to make them feel part of the team, especially when a lot of people work from home. They didn’t want people coming onto Teams (Microsoft Teams Video Calls) meetings in their hoodies – they’ve still got that corporate image to maintain.
