GTX600 Extra Colors is added to Brother’s DTG printer line up
B
rother has further refi ned its GTX600 direct to garment printer with the new GTX600 Extra Colors. Two extra tanks and two extra print heads come with the extension of orange and green ink. Because of the additional inks, the colour gamut that can be realised with the printer is increased. More detailed results are achieved as more depth and a wider colour spectrum can be visualised. Due to the expansion, the best possible colour dynamics can be reached. To meet the different needs of customers, the printer has plates in different sizes to handle a wide range of textiles and creative possibilities. The up to 24in printing plates are easy and quick to change. The printer can automatically adjust the plate height to create an optimum distance between print heads and textile.

and an easily removable platen. Heather Kendle, manager of product management, commercial and industrial, Epson Europe, said: “Although the DTG market has become challenging, due to DTF technology, this development offers new and medium-volume businesses a highly cost-effective and fl exible option that delivers outstanding quality and can easily be scaled to meet future needs.” The F2200 uses new UltraChrome DG2 800ml ink pouches, instead of cartridges, which means a lower change frequency, and a signifi cant reduction in wastage. Epson’s DG2 ink also reduces bleed between yellow and black, which is important for applications such as light T shirts, and maintains colour consistency with DG ink.

The printer also has plates in different sizes to handle a wide range of textiles and creative possibilities. They are also easy and quick to change. The printer can automatically adjust the plate height to create an optimum distance between print heads and textile.
The six staggered industrial print heads with internal cooling fans ensure continuous printing operation. Due to the staggered arrangement, white ink is printed fi rst, followed by orange and green, with CMYK as the top layer. The inks are fi ltered and degassed to guarantee optimum print quality up to 1200dpi. In addition, the built-in air fi lter always ensures perfect working conditions. The water-based Innobella inks are Oeko- Tex Pass and GOTS certifi ed and come in nine-litre tanks with less packaging material. The built-in ink mist fi lter ensures a safe working environment for the operator.
