Decorator Profile A business built on trust
Printwear & Promotion recently spoke with Jake Adams, managing director of Trade Embroidery, part of Mina Group. Having founded the company in 2012 as a young 14-year old entrepreneur, the company has grown into a leading player in the industrial workwear market.
Take us back to the start. What are the origins of Mina Group? I started Mina Group in 2012 as a hobby whilst I was in full time education. After leaving high school, I wanted to further my business aspirations and this lead to the growth we’ve experienced. Since forming my company, I have been lucky enough to work with a large variety of businesses in all different industry fields. From small start-ups to large corporate companies – we cater for them all.
Our approach is simple – we want to put your company at the forefront of its industry, through our depth of resources, combined with industry renowned partners and our highly experienced team. The team has now risen to 18 members of staff, with a turnover increase of over 50% year- on-year during the past three years. As a white label embroidery service, we can help companies add additional revenue to their print or garment printing business.
Explain the decision to primarily focus on branded workwear? Was this a tough decision? As demand grew, we quickly identified that there was a huge gap in the market for a reliable trade embroiderer that was true to the

As demand grew, we pretty quickly identified that there was a huge gap in the market for a reliable trade embroiderer that was true to the print trade
print trade. We subsequently launched Trade Embroidery, a standalone business to all of our other companies – the sole focus is providing branded workwear and promotional clothing on an outsourced basis.
Explain your brand ethos for your Trade Embroidery brand in more detail
We are white label, so everything we do has no mention of us whatsoever. We provide branded workwear and promotional clothing, whether that’s printed garments, embroidered garments to other printers, or design agencies or the embroiderers. We price our garments appropriately, so that the companies that work with us are able to make a decent and healthy margin on the products that we can provide.
We also use the latest embroidery technology, direct-to-garment, direct- to-fi lm branding and printing processes. We source premium clothing from brands like Beechfi eld, Gildan, Port West, Regatta and Russell.
