Supplier Profile: AJS Embroidery Services

What has the future got in store?

Who can believe that we have already stepped into the latter part of 2021? Dave Bates at DP Sportswear is a happy AJS customer

ime seems to be waiting for no one these days, even more so with what we have recently been through with the pandemic. As the team at AJS went into the pandemic, they like most were left wondering what was going on and what the future had in store for us all.

They didn’t have to wait long because less than a couple of weeks into lockdown the phone started to ring, and it really hasn’t stopped ringing since.

Lots of AJS’ online customers, new entrepreneurs, and PPE suppliers saw and took an opportunity for growth that has more than paid off.

Business to grow

With government help coming in many ways and an opportunity for business to grow, many customers saw where they could expand what they had, and where they could expand into new territories.

Obviously, the demand for online goods went crazy and with this AJS saw many orders for single head machines come its way as the demand for quick turn around of individual and personalised goods increased. As well as single heads, multi-head sales and the need for big production also increased.

This increase in multi-headed sales also came at a time when one of the biggest changes in embroidery machine design came to market with the introduction of the Tajima TMEZ series, which with all what was going off, really went under the radar with not much promotion.

With that in mind AJS is taking the TMEZ machines on the road in September by doing a series of small individual roadshows at local venues in the UK and Ireland.

Out on the road

The TMEZ is a real game changer, with technology such as DCP and i-TM they are the first embroidery machines without manual tensions.

design and delivers exactly the right amount and length of thread that is needed for that exact stitch. No more manual thread tension adjustment.

Expanded team

Internally AJS continues to grow with new staff additions to strengthen the technical department and develop an even stronger technical support for the future of AJS customers.

The specialist department that handles, Brother GTX/ DTG printing, Seit Laser and specialist sewing equipment like the Tajima PAX for sewing and perforating continues to grow and strengthen AJS’ place in today’s ever-expanding fields of needs of customers.

Streamline processes

As everyone is always looking to streamline or automate processes within their business Pulse Microsystems software solutions are helping many to do exactly that. PulseID workflow to manage designs, not only embroidery, but also print files and vectors to cutters and engravers and is giving customers a solution for networking all their machines, making connection with them and
