ater parks in Brazil, after a summer of reactivation, during the fall of 2022, will have to prepare for a normally less attractive winter for their visitors.
On the other hand, Colombia and Brazil are preparing for what will be the first face-to-face meetings after two years of the pandemic, with academic agendas that will provide a complete overview of the activity of parks in Latin America, in the immediate future.
Winter and new trends For water parks in Brazil, the pandemic had more complications than for other types of entertainment venues, as a result of the suspension of school excursions and the seasons, especially winter, when the influx of visitors is discouraged due to rain and the low temperatures. He added that, although the rate of infections and hospitalizations did not prevent the population from seeking leisure, since the reopening of the parks in October 2020, the number of people allowed by the capacity restrictions was not ideal for the business to be profitable. Lucardo has high hopes for the fall season and, above all, winter, but it will be essential for the parks to exhibit their maximum capacity for innovation, and he said: “We will have to be creative in winter to continue this growing project”. He also affirmed that, for now, they are looking for an alternative to face the decrease in income in the low season months, a project to promote schools visits during the winter, creating a constant income with attractions and lodging in cabins during the rest of the year. To achieve this goal, the manager of Itapema announced that the construction of a space conditioned as a club, more exclusive within the park, is being analyzed, which was planned for 2021, according to company projections. This includes an exclusive pool for users in this area, in addition to the nearly 20 that are distributed throughout the park. Other Itapema attractions are: Toboggan with a wet track that ends in one of
