Zamperla's Sidewinder Safari at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Walt Disney World welcomed an out-
of-this-world family coaster experience at Epcot. The fully enclosed indoor coaster from Vekoma Rides, features Disney’s first- ever reverse launch. Starring the irreverent gang from the Marvel Comics movies, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind blends the latest in roller coaster technology with seamless storytelling and an 80’s-hits soundtrack with six popular songs that randomly start with the launch of each train. Since its celestial debut, Epcot’s guests
have eagerly queued through the attraction’s planetarium-esque building to learn the story of the planet Xandar and help the Guardians on their intergalactic chase. With its 42 inch (107 cm) height requirement, the attraction ensures park guests and Marvel fans of all ages can fully experience the coaster and the
ride cars’ full 360-degree rotation through space. DC Comic’s Amazon Princess is the star
of the newest roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain. The tallest single rail coaster in the world, Wonder Woman Flight of Courage is the park’s 20th and the latest attraction named for the powerful warrior. The coaster propels riders - single file- for a nearly two-minute flight that includes a 13-storey, 87-degree first drop and soaring speeds of up to 58 miles-per-hour (93 kmh) over 3,300 feet (1005 metres) of track. A record-breaking coaster – and a milestone for the park – Flight of Courage features five intense elements, including three dramatic inversions, a series of dives, banks, rolls and turns and more. Remaining in the Golden State, and the Six Flags family, a new spinning coaster
debuted at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Sidewinder Safari, part of Zamperla’s classic Twister Coaster collection, opened for guests of all ages - and abilities. The attraction has a newly themed area surrounding the coaster that houses eight species of live snakes and reptiles. The park’s 11th roller coaster, Sidewinder Safari has a 42 inch minimum height requirement, appealing to families. The latest in Zamperla’s efforts to create rides that increase guest accessibility, Sidewinder Safari features a new 5-point harness, which allows a wider range of guests to ride.
