ignalling the start of a measured return to business as usual, Legacy Entertainment has announced that Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park began resuming limited operations on 20March, after a short-term closure. The park

had ceased operations on January 24 as a preventative safety measure in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. This phased roll-out will feature a number of new safety precautions, including limited capacities in both indoor and outdoor areas and temperaturechecks, as well as a suspension of cash transactions. “These last two months have been among the most challenging our industry has ever

Guests will join the original cast of the films – Chris Pratt as Owen Grady, Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing, and BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu – as Jurassic World unveils the next evolution of its “carnivore expansion”: the VelociCoaster, where riders embark on a high-speed chase and feel the rush of the hunt while racing alongside a nimble Velociraptor pack. barrel rolling just inches above water, speeding through near-misses and launches within the paddock, and more…with just a lap restraint holding them in place.

Guests will accelerate through two pulse-pounding launches, the fastest reaching 70 mph in 2.4 seconds. They will encounter a one-of-a-kind, 360º barrel roll right above the Islands of Adventure lagoon, experience a zero- gravity inverted stall that will send riders upside down across 100 feet of track in a jaw-dropping maneuver that is the first of its kind, and go airborne during the towering “Top Hat,” which propels riders 155 feet in the air and then immediately into an 80º drop – Universal’s steepest drop yet. They should brace for a total of 12 moments

October fall fun was back this autumn at Storybook Land, the Fricano family’s immaculately maintained park in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, that was decorated for the season with more than 500 pumpkins. Along with their usual themed rides and attractions, guests could climb aboard the Happy Hay Ride for a trip around

the park in fall fashion, or wind their way through Elmer’s Hay-Mazing Maze that was constructed with more than 1,500 bales of hay and over 1,000 corn stalks. Visitors could decorate a free pumpkin in the Pumpkin Patch, and celebrate Halloween while visiting trick-or-treat stations located throughout the park. These activities were included with admission and were all modified to keep families healthy and safe, and still be fun. According to Jessica Panetta of the park’s operations management, Halloween at Storybook Land is as always a non-scary event that is a family-favorite in South Jersey.

product debuting from Technically Creative at Athens FEC, Virtual Village. The product design and programming for this exhibit has taken the team nearly 6 months of preparation, but the effort will be more than worthwhile, and once installed visitors will use various transport types, such as boats planes, trains and automobiles, as physical hands on models to place on the sensing internal projection table. The sensing system knows where and what transport type has been placed down on the table, and through the use of

of zero gravity throughout the entire adventure.

Jurassic World VelociCoaster will be the next addition to Jurassic Park at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Only in this immersive land can visitors come face-to-face with life-size dinosaurs in theme park experiences, including Jurassic Park River Adventure, where a leisure raft ride turns into a daring eight-story plunge to escape a ferocious T-Rex, and Raptor Encounter, where guests can test their bravery and get up-close to Velociraptor Blue and the newest additions to the paddock – baby raptors – while learning more about the clever carnivores. Guests can also satisfy their cravings with all-new food items inspired by Isla Nublar.

for children, Technically Creative has also provided the centre with all of its lighting, show control, electrical control system, audio and PA systems throughout. By choosing Technically Creative, which operates with a one stop shop business model, Athens FEC has guaranteed that the production of their new centre hasn’t been watered down by subcontractors. Instead, the FECs initial vision for the project has been enhanced, and this will be beneficial to the visitors, who get to experience over 14 new interactives thanks to Technically Creatives vision and hard work. Managing director Marc Broadbent

said: “From inception, through design and with great input from the client team I’m very proud for the company and my team to have played a major part in delivering this magnificent project. I’m sure you will agree that the Xplore Athens attraction stands out and proud as the only major go to Greek attraction for children of all ages in both play and learning.”
