Slagharen opens holiday gate in time for Easter weekend
F
ollowing an easing of restrictions, Slagharen opened its holiday park in Germany on 2 April. The opening date for the amusement park, however, is still to be determined. Ahead of the opening, managing director, Dave Storm said: “As in 2020, the pre-planned opening date for 2021 did not seem obvious. Despite the hard lock-down that is on the agenda until the end of March, we have noticed a broad interest from consumers to go out and about. We are responding to this need by opening the holiday
park gate separately. Of course we will use the opening to celebrate together with our guests and employees that Spring is in full swing!” Prices have been amended to reflect the fact that the amusement currently park is out of bounds and guests will also receive a family entrance ticket for a date when the theme park is open again. Those who want to take a break with their family or household can choose from various holiday homes at Slagharen, each with the beautiful nature of the Vechtdal as a backdrop.

Brickman ‘Wonders of the World’ are coming to Dreamworld
A world-renowned LEGO brick exhibit that features over 45 iconic structures – some as tall as 3.6 metres – is set to open at Dreamworld over the Easter holidays.
The Brickman ‘Wonders of the World’ exhibit is a large-scale walk-through exhibition where guests can explore LEGO brick masterpieces, from iconic landmarks such as the Taj Mahal to world-famous tourist icons such as The Leaning Tower of Pisa and a giant Arc de Triomphe. Guests can expect to see models that will immerse them in history, send them into the future and even take them around the world, with no passport required. Dreamworld chief operating officer, Greg Yong said. “These structures have to be seen to be believed, The Flying Scotsman, for example, has been made with more than 164 thousand brick pieces – now that’s a lot of LEGO,” Mr Yong said. The Brickman is a team of skilled LEGO brick artists and craftspeople led by Ryan McNaught, aka ‘The Brickman’. McNaught is the only LEGO Certified Professional in the Southern Hemisphere, one of only 14 in the world and is the official judge of Channel Nine’s hit blockbuster reality series, LEGO Masters. At the core everything The Brickman team does, including building the 45 awe-inspiring masterpieces making up ‘Wonders of the World’, is the inspiration of wonder and excitement. The Brickman Wonders of the World exhibit runs from Saturday 27th March – 18th April.
