IAAPA Expo Asia postponed

AAPA, the global association for the attractions industry has postponed IAAPA Expo Asia 2020 to 2021 in response to the coronavirus (COVID-
19) outbreak. The Expo was scheduled to take place 8-11 June in Macao, China, at the Venetian Macao. The 2021 event will take place in June. “The health and safety of our members and our
team is always our top priority,” said Hal McEvoy, president and CEO, IAAPA. “After extensive
evaluation and input from members, the IAAPA Board of Directors has made the decision to postpone IAAPA Expo Asia 2020. Since early January, we have been closely monitoring the rapidly evolving coronavirus outbreak and have been in constant contact with our global team and
PortAventura Foundation donates ¤500,000 to purchase respirators for hospitals in Tarragona
PortAventura Foundation has donated €500,000 euros for the purchase of respirators that will be delivered to seven hospitals in the province of Tarragona as a way of supporting the measures launched to combat the spread of the coronavirus. The respirators will be installed in the
following hospitals with the aim of reinforcing healthcare provisions within the region: Joan XXIII University Hospital of Tarragona, Sant Pau i Santa Tecla Hospital, Sant Joan University Hospital of Reus, Verge de la Cinta Hospital of Tortosa, Pius Hospital of Valls, Del Vendrell Hospital and Móra d’Ebre District Hospital. “In these exceptional times, at

New general counsel named for Six Flags
Laura W. Doerre has joined Six Flags Entertainment Corporation as executive vice president and general counsel. She succeeds Lance Balk, who retired on 2 March after more than nine years in the role.
