How are you managing to keep guests engaged while gates are shut?
Robert Arvidsson, Liseberg: Our social media channels are very important to keep up the guest dialogue and engagement. Basically we do a mix of different content activities from retro perspectives, guest competitions and brand building content.
Vikki Hultquist, Hersheypark: Our team has developed some special activities for our guests to enjoy. Recent content has included coloring pages, POVS of all our coasters, weekday Facebook Lives with our naturalists, virtual scavenger hunts, and trivia.
Curtis Crider, Jungle Island: We have introduced virtual online learning lessons that kids can do at home. Each weekday, our education manager posts a new assignment to our Facebook and Instagram pages, along with a web link where kids can find cool lessons focused on animals, nature and the Everglades.
Stefano Cigarini, Cinecittà World: The times we are all living are significant moments in history, dramatic for those who are directly touched by the emergency: some people experience this crisis through the media, some other lose their friends and relatives. In respect of the latter, we decided to stay silent. There will be a time to communicate and re-engage with guests, but, at least in Italy, it’s not now.
Manuel Prossotowicz, Movie Park Germany: To ensure that they can continue to immerse themselves in the amusement park world and to provide them with exclusive insights, we take our guests on virtual backstage tours or show them hidden places within the park.
Kathrin Öhlhorn, Legoland Deutschland: We stay active on our social media platforms to keep the guests engaged and show them our great park even if they cannot come visit. We also post riddles and painting forms for the younger ones, so they do not get bored during the time they have to stay at home.
