AINSWORTH – Miguel Cuadros Sets the Pace in Latin America

t the time it was the largest casino in Mexico City, and I had been invited to observe the development of the business. To my surprise, the entire gaming floor was dominated by slots with the AINSWORTH brand. While speaking about the machines that had taken over the venue, the manager proudly told me they had secured “quite a good contract” with the acquisition of a few thousand units, writes Ricki Chavez-Munoz.

When I met him, Miguel Cuadros wore his trademark affability and charm, and I naturally thought - who wouldn’t be happy after securing such a contract? It’s been nearly twenty years since I first met Miguel at Casino Palmas, back when it was one of the market leaders in Mexico City. I’m pleased to see that Miguel has not only closed more top-tier deals and contracts over the years—with perhaps the occasional stumble—but that now is President of AINSWORTH Latin America & Europe. He’s still as charismatic as ever, and as always, playing to win. “Anyone who does good business in Latin America is a daring entrepreneur!” a banker once told me when working in the City of London—using a more colourful
