Y como si eso fuera poco, la expo también estuvo colmada. Con todo esto, en un par de semanas, debemos salir para La Heroica, en la tierra linda de Colombia donde el GAT Cartagena del 9 al 11 de April promete muchísimo; y después volver a Brasil, pero esta vez al BiS Sigma Americas, de 23 al 26 April, en Sao Paulo, donde nos dicen que si el SBC Summit Rio se desbordo, el evento paulista va a estar de candela. ¡Allá nos vemos!

Mincetur revela 145 solicitudes de autorización para juego online


El ministro de Comercio Exterior y Turismo, Juan Carlos Mathews, anunció que durante los 30 primeros días de entrada en vigor de la Ley N° 31557, que Regula la Explotación de los Juegos a Distancia y Apuestas Deportivas a Distancia, 145 solicitudes de autorización han sido presentadas por empresas nacionales e internacionales para participar de esta actividad. No solo ello, durante ese periodo, también se han registrado 144 proveedores de servicios vinculados y acreditado 7 laboratorios de certificación internacional, asimismo, los proveedores han presentado 184 solicitudes de homologación de plataformas tecnológicas, programas de juego, sistemas progresivos y modalidades de juego. Estas empresas presentaron su solicitud para formalizarse y obtener la autorización correspondiente para poder seguir funcionando en el Perú, una clara muestra que la regulación de esta actividad ha sido exitosa. El último 13 de marzo se cerraron las solicitudes de autorización, para aquellas empresas que venían operando antes de la entrada en vigor de la Ley. Por ello, aquellas empresas que continúen ofreciendo este tipo de servicio y no se encuentren autorizadas serán pasibles a una sanción no menor a 150 UIT – unos US$210 mil - y además una denuncia penal e inhabilitación para ejercer esta actividad. Es importante resaltar, que el 20% de los ingresos


provenientes del impuesto a los juegos y apuestas deportivas a distancia constituye ingreso para la promoción y masificación del deporte a nivel nacional (Instituto Peruano del Deporte - IPD), lo que permitirá fortalecer al deporte nacional de cara a los Juegos Panamericanos Lima - 2027. En el caso de las salas de juego de apuestas deportivas a distancia, estos podrán estar ubicados en un local exclusivo de esta actividad u otros que tengan como giro principal la venta de otros productos o servicios.

Urgent advice to online gaming and sports betting companies


The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Juan Carlos Mathews, announced that during the first 30 days since Law No. 31557 came into force regulating the Operation of Remote Games and Remote Sports Betting in Peru, there have been 145 applications for authorization from national and international companies to participate in this activity. Not only that, during this period, 144 related service providers have also been registered and 7 international certification laboratories have been accredited. Suppliers have also submitted 184 applications for approval of technological platforms, game programs, progressive systems and game modalities. These companies submitted their application to


formalize and obtain the corresponding authorization to continue operating in Peru, a clear sign that regulation of this activity in Peru is successful. On March 13, authorization applications were closed for companies that had been operating before the new Law came into force. Therefore, those companies that continue to offer this type of service and are not authorized will be subject to a penalty of no less than 150 UIT – about US$210 thousand – and criminal prosecution with disqualification from exercising this activity in Peru. It is important to highlight that 20% of the income from the tax on remote gambling and sports betting will be assigned for the promotion and mass consumption of sports at national level under the Peruvian Institute of Sport – IPD to strengthen national sport for the Lima 2027 Pan American Games.


In the case of remote sports betting gaming bookies, these may be located in premises exclusively for this activity or others whose main business is the sale of other products or services.
