Hafele home improvement data offers optimism to industry T
here are signs of optimism in the home improvement industry, with
recently released research revealing homeowners are planning kitchen and bathroom renovations in the next year, offering the industry an opportunity to capitalise on new business. Research from Häfele UK shows that a third
of UK homeowners are prioritising home improvements over making plans to move. According to the findings, shared in Häfele’s Homes for Living report, new kitchens (23%) and bathroom renovations (21%) top the list of
planned home updates after interior decorating (29%). When it comes to the motives behind changing
their kitchens, homeowners said updating the style is most important (25%), followed by needing to improve the quality of their space (23%). Not having enough storage (19%) and the kitchen not being functional enough (13%) were also top drivers for planning a refurb. Rachel Tuckey, Chief Product and Marketing
