Zero emission alternative
Luthmore has introduced a new electric boiler designed to provide a zero-emissions alternative to traditional gas combi systems. The Luthmore Boiler is a compact, battery-powered, tankless heating unit aimed at small to medium-sized dwellings where heat pumps may not be suitable. The boiler delivers 30kW of hot water
and 10kW of central heating output, using six lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries that do not contain rare earth materials. These batteries allow users to store electricity, whether from the grid or solar sources, and discharge it when needed. This setup enables households to shift energy consumption to off -peak times, off ering potential cost savings and better alignment with time-of-use tariff s. Designed by two former Dyson engineers,
the system is compatible with standard plumbing infrastructure, including existing pipework and radiators. It does not require a fl ue or storage tank, and its wall-mounted format is intended to minimise installation time and space requirements. Luthmore has also announced a free
training programme for installers at its headquarters in Chippenham. The company is positioning the boiler as a practical option for installers seeking to off er low-carbon heating without
Home energy optimisation
Sync Energy, part of the Luceco Group, has launched ‘Flow’, a next-generation, fully integrated home energy system that unites hybrid inverters, modular battery storage, solar power diverters, and EV chargers, all intelligently connected via the intuitive Sync Energy app. As a fl exible, future- ready ecosystem for residential energy management, it is suitable for both new builds and retrofi t projects. “We designed Sync
signifi cant changes to their workfl ow or client budgets. Will Jameson, commercial and corporate
director at Luthmore, says: “After four years of development and rigorous testing, we are so excited to bring this pioneering technology to market. We represent a new way of heating homes in a cost eff ective, sustainable way, without sacrifi cing the performance and ease of set-up associated with a classic combi boiler. “The compact design fi ts the same space
as a combi and uses the same plumbing infrastructure, and it meets both current and anticipated housing standards.” ◼

Energy Flow to be more than just hardware, it’s a connected energy lifestyle,” says Robert Stuart-Walker, new product development manager at Sync Energy. “By combining our hybrid inverters, scalable battery storage, intelligent EV charging, and intuitive app control, we’re making whole-home energy optimisation simple, smart and accessible to everyone.” At the heart of the Sync
Energy Flow range is a modular platform built for scalability and simplicity, available as individual components or in pre- bundled all-in-one kits for ease, all brought together in one easy-to-use app.
• Hybrid Inverters available in 3.6 or 6kW, wall-mountable or stackable. These enable real-time solar use, battery integration, and grid import/export.
Key system components include:
• Modular Battery Storage is available in 5.12kWh battery packs, expandable up to 35.84kWh, off ering 90% depth of discharge using advanced LiFePO4 technology.
• Solar Power Diverters intelligently redirect surplus solar generation to prevent wastage, ideal for water heating, boosting self-consumption. • Combined with EV Chargers for the full package, including the ultra-slim, wall-integrated Link Charger for discreet, socketed charging, or the customisable Wall Charger 2, available in socketed or tethered, both off ering dynamic 7.4kW charging with OCPP 1.6J compatibility and no earth rod required. All products are
seamlessly integrated through the Sync Energy app. ◼ phamnews.
