More sizes for larger applications
The Multi+ heat pump range from Daikin has been expanded with a new outdoor unit and larger domestic hot water (DHW) cylinder, increasing its suitability for larger households and medium-sized commercial premises. The updated system now supports up to four indoor units – one more than the original model – plus a DHW cylinder, using a single outdoor unit.
Cut the heat pump admin
Home energy specialist dwellow has launched dwellowPRO, a free app designed to streamline heat pump installations and cut admin time by up to 18 hours per job. Available to fully trained
installers working on dwellow- specifi c jobs or independent engineers under the company’s MCS umbrella scheme, the app supports the full process, from survey and design to handover and Boiler Upgrade Scheme paperwork.
“We don’t require installers to
buy equipment from us or infl ate prices through the umbrella scheme,” says dwellow co-founder Adam Raw. “They remain fully in control of their pricing and supply chain. Our transparent £850 fee per installation is only charged once the customer is committed. It’s about empowering installers to grow their business, not restricting them.” ◼

The new outdoor models off er
cooling capacities of 6.8 or 9.0kW and heating capacities of 8.6kW or 10kW. Energy effi ciency ratings reach A+++ for cooling, A++ for heating, and A+ for hot water. The range now includes 5.2, 6.8, and 9.0kW outdoor units, paired with either a 120L wall-mounted or 230L fl oor-mounted DHW cylinder. Compatible with Daikin’s
Onecta app and Easyzone zoning system, Multi+ allows remote scheduling and control, plus custom prioritisation of hot water or space heating. The new units retain a compact footprint and are suited to both retrofi t and new-build jobs. ◼

SunStyle’s anti-glare solar roof tiles are designed to minimise solar refl ections in areas where glare may pose a nuisance or safety risk. The product integrates a matte surface treatment into its building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) tiles, reducing the refl ective intensity of sunlight without aff ecting energy output. The anti-glare fi nish allows the tiles to meet local planning
requirements in locations such as fl ight paths, rail corridors, or densely built environments where elevation diff erences between buildings can increase the impact of solar glare. The product is particularly suited to developments where maintaining a consistent, low-refl ection roof surface is essential for planning approval. The surface treatment is comparable to anti-refl ective coatings used in
glazing or eyewear, reducing the amount of light refl ected from the panel while maintaining visible transparency and solar effi ciency. For wildlife- sensitive zones, the reduced glare also mitigates the ‘lake eff ect’ where polarised light refl ections can disorient birds and interfere with natural behaviour. ◼

OFTEC’s renewables registration scheme
In the coming years, the UK will face a significant challenge in meeting strict targets for reducing carbon emissions. Joining OFTEC under one of our renewable registration scopes is a step towards embracing sustainable solutions and allows your business to tap into the opportunities of this growing market.
Renewable technology registration scopes:
• Solar thermal systems. • Biomass heating systems.
• Installation, commissioning and servicing of air source heat pumps.
• Installation, commissioning and servicing of ground source heat pumps.
• Design of heat pump systems.
For more information, or if you already have the necessary training to complete an application form, please visit the OFTEC’s website.
