Eco-friendly heating and cooling solution
The latest addition to the M Series range from Mitsubishi Electric is the MSZ-RZ R290 – a premium wall-mounted air inverter heat pump system, designed to deliver efficient heating and cooling all year round. The MSZ-RZ R290 uses
R290 refrigerant to help homeowners reduce their carbon footprint and future- proof properties against evolving F-gas regulations. The unit is available in
two sizes – 2.5 kW and 3.5 kW – to provide a solution for both residential and light commercial spaces. At just 247 mm deep, its slim profile can fit into confined spaces, from homes to cafes and offices, and with noise levels as low as 19 dBA it helps to maintain comfortable temperature levels with minimum disruption. The system can be operated by homeowners through built-in WiFi
and the company’s intuitive MELCloud app. This enables users to control their cooling and heating remotely from a smartphone or tablet, with live controls, scheduling and energy monitoring. The unit also uses advanced 3D i-see sensors to help detect room occupancy, to optimise airflow and temperature and minimise energy when the system isn’t required. ◼

Smarter and faster
Hub 2 is a ‘next-generation’ home energy device from Levelise for homes with solar and battery systems. It is claimed to be 80% smaller and 90% lighter than previous models and also quicker to install and easier to integrate into properties. The device intelligently manages energy use,
saving on bills by optimising when and how stored energy is used without compromising comfort. By syncing with time-of-use energy tariffs, the Hub also enables the user to buy electricity at the cheapest rates and use stored energy when prices peak. Quick-fit wall mounting, plug-and-play
connectors (no hardwiring required), and a simple three-step app-based commissioning flow also means that systems can be fully installed and commissioned in just 20 minutes. Iván Castro, operations director at Levelise,
comments: “With Hub 2, we’re making it easier for both installers and homeowners to be part of the energy flexibility future. Households can turn their solar and battery systems into income- generating assets while supporting a greener, smarter grid. Intelligent optimisation extends battery life and maximises energy savings, so with the Hub 2, your battery works smarter, lasts longer, and performs better.” The Levelise hub is now compatible with seven
battery manufacturers, including Solax, Alpha and Afore. Hub 2 will be available to installers as part of a package, including a hybrid inverter and a 10kWh battery. ◼

For larger homes
New from CTC-UK is the EcoAir 720M, the highest- capacity unit in the company’s range of modulating air-to-water heat pumps. Designed for larger properties, the 720M
features advanced variable-speed technology and uses eco-friendly R290 refrigerant. It also offers remote monitoring capabilities, enabling installers to continuously evaluate customers’ heating requirements, ensuring optimal efficiency throughout the year. The versatile heat pump can provide both heating
and hot water during colder months, while its advanced cooling function ensures optimal indoor climate during warmer periods. The system can switch seamlessly between heating and cooling modes, operating through underfloor heating systems or separate fan convector installations. ◼
