printers and MFPs LEXMARK has launched the Lexmark 9-Series, a family of Lexmark-designed A3 colour printers and multifunction products (MFPs) that boldly resets the industry standard. Built by evolving Lexmark’s renowned A4 technology, the 9-Series is squarely focused on delivering versatility, simplicity and sustainability. The company started with its award-winning A4 technology and scaled it up through years of development, testing and innovation. The result is a line of fully featured, highly sophisticated A3 devices that are easy to use, manage, service and feel good about.


The Lexmark 9-Series is composed of eight models: the Lexmark CX963, CX962, CX961, CS963, CX833, CX951, CX950 and MX953. The series offers a broad range of media size support (A6 to SRA3), high-volume duty cycles, a common set of modular paper-handling options, finishing capabilities and professional colour features including Pantone calibration. Its interface streamlines workflows by


providing simple instructions and prompts. For routine maintenance, toner cartridges can be replaced with one hand, easily understood visual cues are displayed, and serviceable areas are easy to access and identify.


PPDS delivers access to streaming platforms on hotel TVs


PPDS has launched the Philips Cast Server, a dedicated hotel TV solution designed to deliver seamless and secure casting and app streaming experiences for hoteliers and their guests alike.


The new all-in-one Philips Cast Server brings a wealth of new


capabilities for hotels of all sizes, delivering opportunities to create unique and fully tailored entertainment experiences built around the needs and requirements of individual guests. Compatible with Chromecast-built-in Philips MediaSuite and recently launched Philips Hospitality TV 4500 Series, the Philips Cast Server has been developed using invaluable feedback from customers, hotel managers and guests. Small and lightweight, the single unit rack mounted device brings a new option for installations, seamlessly integrating into a hotel’s existing IP network to deliver a secure and private connection, with full remote management access, allowing guests to simply access and cast their own content directly to their in room TVs.


Guests can pair their phone or other mobile device with the TV by scanning the QR code displayed on the TV screen, with no need to connect to an alternative WiFi network. Once the pairing process is successful, guests can instantly and securely cast content from their preferred accounts directly onto the TV. Mirroring the experience of other Chromecast built-in Philips Professional TVs, using Philips Cast Server content can be cast and viewed within seconds of a guest entering the room, with TVs responding and becoming active upon the Chromecast symbol being tapped on their cast-enabled app.

Expected during the first half of 2024, the RD Series will comprise RD240Q (16:10 aspect ratio 24.1-inch), RD280U & RD280UA (3:2 28.2-inch), and RD320U & RD320UA (16:9 31.5- inch) models. There will also be options for both ergonomically adjustable and fixed stands. Offered on the smaller 24.1- and 28.2-inch models, the productivity-oriented 3:2 and 16:10 aspect ratios accommodate more lines of code vertically, while the 16:9 31.5-inch provides ample screen real estate for copious amounts of complex code. RD Series also features default KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) and Multi-Stream Transport technology. This enables users to daisy-chain multiple extended displays from a single USB-C port, and Display Pilot 2 software and includes self- defined shortcuts, desktop partition, application mode, software dimming, circadian mode, and more.
