Company Profile T
ech For Techs was born out of our experience running Chips Computers, a computer repair and callout service that gained recognition by winning several PCR awards as the best
independent store of the year. Tis accolade put our small, local shop on the radar of larger brands, leading to collaborations where they would enhance our store’s appearance for publicity. Understanding the challenges faced by independent retailers, Jenni
and I founded Tech For Techs to foster a supportive community for independent retailers, vendors, and distributors to collaborate and support one another. Today, Tech for Techs serves as a multifaceted hub in the technology
sector, acting as a bridge between technicians, vendors, and distributors. At its core, our platform provides an array of services such as Tech MAX trade events, a vibrant community boasting 1,650 members, the Tech Talk Live Show and podcast, tech awards, along with in-depth product and service reviews. Our reviews cater to both consumers and trade professionals, accessible through YouTube for consumers and our website, Facebook, and LinkedIn for the trade audience, which offer us the opportunity to reach the reseller and consumer at the same time.
Tech MAX Our most significant challenge arose with the inaugural Tech MAX Trade event in 2022, immediately following the Covid-19 pandemic. At a time when the hesitation around event cancellations was at its peak due to the pandemic’s uncertainty, launching Tech MAX posed a substantial financial and strategic risk, especially since we hadn’t organised such an event previously. Convincing exhibitors to participate in an untested event was particularly daunting, despite our confidence in attracting attendees. Fortunately, our strong reputation within the community played
a crucial role in overcoming these hurdles. We managed to secure exhibitor participation and rapidly sold out, surpassing our initial

targets. We aimed for 20 exhibitors and 150 guests but ended up accommodating around 40 vendors and sold out of all 275 guests tickets. Te following year, we practically doubled these numbers. Tis year, we’re set to expand even further with our event on 21 June.
What’s next? If there’s one trend that stands out, it’s the universal demand for convenience. In today’s fast-paced world, both businesses and consumers are seeking ways to simplify their lives. Businesses aim to streamline operations, focusing on efficient order processes to save time and effort. Meanwhile, consumers prioritise products and services that enhance their daily routines, emphasising ease of use and immediate benefits. Despite the promise of groundbreaking technologies emerging,
widespread adoption may be slow. Tis hesitation stems from the desire for convenience and the high expectations for effortless integration into daily life. Tese expectations present a significant challenge for those involved in product development, distribution, and retail. Te demand for instant gratification and user-friendly design is reshaping the landscape, pushing for innovation that delivers not just on performance but also on seamless, accessible user experiences. We’re excited to announce the upcoming launch of new, special
services designed to further support the tech community. Although details are currently under wraps, one significant initiative is set to go live by the end of the year. Tis new offering is specifically aimed at helping independent stores flourish, providing multiple avenues for business growth. Stay tuned for updates as we continue to evolve and expand our support for the technology sector.
