Tech Data Pilots Printer
Installation Service TECH DATA has launched an installation service for printers and multi-function devices. Provided by qualified and trained engineers, the end-to-end service includes options for pre-delivery inspection, testing, network installation and training.
Printers and multi-functional devices can be delivered and installed as instructed and all waste packaging will be removed. Customers and partners will also have access to a dedicated support line with escalation to a Level 2 Support Desk included. The installation service can be provided as part of
a Tech-as-a-Service (TaaS) offering, allowing it to be paid for as part of a subscription package of products and services. It can also be offered alongside Tech Data’s OpenMPS managed print services proposition, which makes it very easy for partners to support the on-going needs of their customers – on a single device or an entire fleet of printers with fully managed supplies replenishment to any location in the UK. Chris Bates, business unit manager, print and supplies, UK, at Tech Data, said: “The print installation service provides partners with a simple and cost-effective way to add value for their customers without having to commit additional resources. When combined with our OpenMPS service, partners can extend their managed services offering even further.”
