ustainability in tech is by no means a new subject. Whether producing, adopting or selling, embracing sustainable tech is
a smart business decision that future-proofs any industry. Sustainability also fosters innovation, and the great minds of tomorrow are morally more inclined to seek new ways to protect the environment. There is a major onus on the tech
industry to reduce its ecological footprint. Primarily, because manufacturing and disposing of electronics create significant carbon emissions and toxic waste. In the display market, manufacturing concerns are undoubtedly forefront. Many companies are making huge waves and heavily promoting their sustainable missions. Most importantly, these companies are actioning changes by shifting towards sustainable materials, focussing on energy efficiency in production (smart factories / renewal energy integration) and also ensuring more sustainable supply chain management.

more focussed on mitigating their impact on the environment for the past two decades. However, achieving meaningful progress has required collaboration across industries, governments, and consumers to adopt and enforce sustainable practices. Instilling an environmentally responsible mindset is the most essential catalyst for changing an industry to become green. Tis doesn’t happen overnight but is absolutely being fuelled by stricter environmental legislations as well as increasing consumer demand. But is the tech industry doing enough? good in the long run is a responsibility all manufacturers will take very seriously, but what the world really requires, and indeed, is demanding exponentially, are sustainable ‘products’.
