BRANDS
Moca Urban Lite
focused solely on Independent Bicycle Dealers (IBDs), believing they offer the best customer service, and are sometimes unfairly treated by larger companies.
When introducing Moca, we aim to better support our existing dealers and extend the network. We’re currently at 285 retailers. Moca will also see us targeting e-bike-specific companies to foster new retailer network growth.
Let’s talk bikes: Can you share some details about what the Moca lineup will look like here in the UK? Giving an overview, with some motor spec-based detail - there will be 3 initial Moca models, across price points and motor locations. Our range will include a light Bafang hub motor-equipped model weighing 16 kilos, available in step-through and crossbar frames, retailing at £2,250.
Moca SUV
The compact cargo bike, with a 200Kg load capacity, will feature a Shimano crank-based EP6 motor, retailing at £4,500.
Additionally, a trekking bike and a wave bike with a Brose crank-based 70Nm motor and a 630W battery, which will be priced at £3,600, will fill the gap between the light and cargo bike.
Looking at what makes relationships with retailers work,
I’d emphasise the importance of quality control and reliable backup service, which is why Moca’s use of Bafang, Brose, and Shimano components ensures quality service support and parts availability. In addition to Tiger Cycles keeping some stock in the UK, to enhance customer experience, Iain has confirmed that Messingschlager has replacement parts stocked in the German warehouse, ensuring quick turnaround times for customers (7-10 days at the latest).
