Amer Sports sells Enve Composites


ENVE Composites has been sold by Amer Sports to PV3, a Utah-based private investment firm.


Amer Sports’ chief operating officer Michael Hauge Sørensen said: “Enve has gone through major changes in the past years. The brand has positive momentum, and we see that it has good potential. “However, after a thorough strategic evaluation, we have concluded that the next phase of development should happen under new ownership. We believe PV3 is the most suitable owner for Enve to realise and drive its next growth phase.”


PV3 insists it is dedicated to maintaining Enve’s heritage


as a Utah-based manufacturer and leader in composites technology. According to the press release, PV3’s owners are avid cyclists and have been familiar with the brand for many years. “We have confidence in the direction Enve’s management team are taking the company


and we want to continue building the brand’s legacy as a performance leader and U.S. manufacturer, while providing the necessary support for continued growth,” said Mark Hancock, principal of PV3. Mike Stimola will retain his role as general manager of the


brand and, with the acquisition complete, Enve’s operations are expected to continue as normal.


Kenda appoints VeloBrands and Greyville as UK distributors


KENDA has announced the appointment of two new UK distributors, Velobrands and Greyville. The new partnerships are part of Kenda’s multi- channel approach for re-entering the UK market after its long-standing partner Moore Large ceased trading in 2023. Kenda’s decision to appoint two established distributors demonstrates its renewed commitment to the UK market.


Previously available in the UK until last year, the brand is now making a comeback with sought-after models like the Small Block 8, the Flintridge and the Hellkat. The brand will also be introducing fresh lines of


MTB, gravel and commuter tyres and specialist inner tubes – products previously unavailable in the UK. This strategic move indicates an expansion aimed at serving a broader spectrum of cyclists in the UK.


Apex Distribution to supply Daysaver tools


APEX has announced a distribution partnership with Daysaver tools. The Swiss brand


produces a range of workshop quality tools for use on the trail. It first came to


prominence in 2021 with the Original9 tool which won many accolades – including the Innovation from a Newcomer at the BikeBiz Awards in 2021.


The Essential8 is the most popular tool in the range, offering


several mounting options that can be ordered separately to tailor it to rider requirements. The IncredibleX line will be added later this year. 

Sportful goes direct-to-consumer


SADDLEBACK has confirmed that Italian apparel brand Sportful has become a direct-to- consumer brand.


It will now serve the UK market via its own in-house site:


Sportful.co.uk. According to the business, moving to a direct-to- consumer model in the UK enables “greater agility” making it easier to adapt to the racing calendar, changing trends, and consumer needs.


Saddleback insists this change for Sportful does not


reflect any other brands in its portfolio as there are currently no plans to roll this out further.
