Halls of Ibstock, High Street, Ibstock This month, ERT’s team of mystery shoppers visited and


assessed eight electrical retail stores in Leicester.


This retailer was established in 1937 and its store in the village of Ibstock is located next to a large free car park.


I was looking to buy a new vacuum cleaner. I


was greeted by Chris; I told him what I wanted to buy and he started by asking me about my previous vacuum cleaner. He asked me if I was looking for an upright or cylinder model and I said that because of a disability, an upright cleaner would be ideal for me. He led me to the Sebo display, explaining that, in his opinion, Sebo is the best floorcare brand. There were two Sebo cleaners on display and


Chris plugged in the X7 Automatic model, which was priced at £429, and started to demonstrate it. Chris pointed out upright vacuum cleaners


offer a range of benefits over cylinder models and he said that they’re particularly good at removing dirt lodged into carpets, and they offer larger dustbin capacities. Chris added that Sebo’s Ultra Bags deliver optimum performance and hygienic, S-class filtration – and an eight-pack is priced at £16. He also referenced the long, 10 metre cable and 11 metre cleaning radius. He also demonstrated the long flex.
