BMJ INDUSTRY AWARDS 2026

HOST TO MAKE A GOOD IMPRESSION

BMJ is delighted to announce that award-winning impressionist Jon Culshaw is to take to the stage in September as the host of this year’s BMJ Industry Awards.

T

he inimitable master of comedic guise, Culshaw is widely regarded as Britain’s best impressionist, and comes with a resume showcasing his strengths as an actor, comedian, voiceover artist and presenter.

BMJ Group Managing Editor Fiona Russell Horne said: “I’m delighted that we have secured the talents of Jon Culshaw to guide us through our awards in September. His uncanny ear for voices, and his superb comedic timing, mean we are surely in for a fabulous afternoon’s entertainment.”

With a catalogue of over 350 voices and impersonations, including Boris Johnson, Donald Trump, Professor Brian Cox, Nigel Farage, Alan Carr, John Bishop, Ozzy Osborne, Chris Eubank, Michael McIntyre and King Charles amongst many others, Culshaw first made international headlines in 1998 by calling the switchboard of No. 10 Downing Street and fooling the operators with his impression of William Hague, and as a result was put directly through to the then Prime Minister Tony Blair. The incident was mentioned at Prime Minister’s Question Time and reported across the national press and in Hansard. Culshaw has been cast in the iconic Midsomer Murders and played Boris Johnson in RTS award winning Channel 4 docudrama Partygate. He has also narrated comedy specials including tributes to both Kenneth Williams and Bob Monkhouse for Channel 5, and has provided countless character voices and commentaries for the multi-award winning CBBC show Horrible Histories.
