Top 100 Gala Dinner celebrates heritage and raises further funds
The BMF’s charitable efforts continued at the Top 100 Gala Dinner, hosted jointly with Builders’ Merchants News at The Belfry Hotel. The event celebrated long-standing businesses across the sector while raising a further £9,500 for The Educational Foundation Trust (TEFT) and the Maddie Rose Foundation. For the first time, the Top 100 recognised businesses rather than individuals, highlighting 50 builders merchants and 50 suppliers, manufacturers and service
companies, all with more than 50 years of trading history. The initiative showcased the sector’s contribution not only to the UK economy but also to skills development, apprenticeships and community engagement.

Charity Golf Day tees up fundraising success
The BMF Charity Golf Day, held at the JCB Golf and Country Club, brought together teams of four from across BMF member companies for a day of competitive play, networking and fundraising.
The event raised £12,250 for TEFT and the Maddie Rose Foundation, with players welcomed with breakfast before taking to the course. Sponsored refreshments were available at the Halfway House, supported by The Journey
Consultancy, while NMBS sponsored the popular “Beat the Pro” challenge at the ninth hole, where six players successfully beat the club professional. At the close of play, attendees enjoyed a barbecue buffet and refreshments sponsored by Browns Builders Merchants and Descartes UK Systems, followed by a prize presentation recognising standout performances across the day. Award winners included Browns Builders Merchants for Best Team
(sponsored by Heidelberg Materials), James Redfearn of Descartes Systems UK for Highest Individual Score, Gary Rosier-Taylor of Descartes Systems UK for Nearest the Pin, and Adam Reading, who took the Longest Drive prize sponsored by Lecico Bathrooms.
