GOLFERS AND DINERS DIG DEEP AT FOUNDATION FUNDRAISING EVENT

Maddie Rose Golf Day and Dinner brings together industry leaders to support future talent in the building materials sector

M

ore than 100 golfers took to the fairways of the iconic Brabazon Course in Sutton Coldfield, for the Maddie Rose Golf Day for a day

of competition, networking and fundraising in support of the Maddie Rose Foundation. The 110 golfers embraced the event’s signature yellow theme, sporting a variety of yellow shirts, shorts and this year’s must-have accessory, the Maddie Rose Foundation yellow bucket hats, sponsored by T King Associates, as they tackled the renowned par-72, 7,255-yard Brabazon Course.

Following the golf, guests gathered for the Yellow Tie Dinner, attended by 190 people.

Diners were welcomed by Maddie Rose Foundation trustee Steve Durdant-Hollamby, whose moving introduction explained the background to both the Foundation and the Golf Day.

The evening was hosted by television presenter Mark Durden-Smith, and featured prize presentations, a raffle, a lively auction and entertainment, all helping to raise vital funds for the Maddie Rose Foundation.

Through team entries, raffle ticket sales, bucket hat purchases and auction proceeds, the Maddie Rose Golf Day and Yellow Tie Dinner raised an impressive £25,000 for the Maddie Rose Foundation. BMJ
