Brewers is the UK’s largest independent decorator’s merchant, founded in Sussex in 1904.
In February 2025, the group bought the majority of Paintwell stores and the industrial paint distributor, Promain from the administrators of Paintwell. Karl Jones, commercial director, said: “We are grateful to have been able to take on many of (the Paintwell) stores along with almost 200 colleagues. We welcome our new colleagues, recognising many of them have been part of the decorating industry for many years.”
