Zyliss shines with earth-friendly designs
The demand for sustainable products in the kitchen has grown. Heidi Thomas, Head of Marketing UK & Ireland at DK Household Brands, shares Zyliss’ latest eco-friendly products.

n today’s fast-paced world, the demand for kitchen tools that seamlessly blend innovation with sustainability has never been greater.
“At Zyliss, we’re a brand with a rich heritage of more than 70 years,” says Heidi Thomas, Head of Marketing UK & Ireland at DK Household Brands. “Indeed, our Founder, Karl Zysett, invented such everyday kitchen staples as the garlic press and the salad spinner. “And today, we build on his successes and continue to lead the charge in transforming everyday cooking with cleverly designed products that prioritise functionality and now – increasingly – the environment.” She explains that at the heart of Zyliss’ latest utensils collection is a commitment to sustainability that begins with the materials. The groups approach to design involves using 50% virgin plastic replaced with wheat straw materials in the handles and lids of its products. What straw, is a sustainable alternative that reduces waste and the reliance on new plastic without compromising on durability. It also takes its sustainability
credentials a step further by ensuring all packaging components are made from recycled materials. All utensils also come Zyliss has also introduced new pans
made from recycled aluminium which uses only 5% of the energy required o produce virgin aluminium and it losing quality.
