Editor’s comment.... D

espite writing this in the middle of the UK’s heatwave, the August/September issue marks the end of summer. Whilst it has always been a prevalent trend, as we

transition into the new season there appears to be a renewed focus on wellness. At Autumn Fair, TrendBible’s Naomi Pollard described the ‘Space to Heal’ which combines self-care and sustainability. Whether it is the incorporation of natural or neutral tones in the design of a product, the additional healthcare benefits or eco- friendly credentials, it is evident throughout the issue that manufacturers and suppliers are putting wellness at the forefront of their business. Later in this issue, we put the focus on retailers with

key insights from video maker, Shaun Pearce about the growing potential of the online world for brick-and-

mortar retailers, as well as an exclusive interview with Salamander Cookshop owner, David Crossley about the retailer’s success in the recent Housewares Awards. As the 2023 edition of the Housewares Awards draws to a close, in this issue we also caught up with a selection of our highly-esteemed winners including Eddingtons, Harts of Stur, Dexam, Burton McCall, Rayware and more. Elsewhere, you’ll find as always,

our regular news, views and featured products showcasing the latest from market-leading housewares brands from across the sector.

I hope you enjoy the issue!
