Hoover achieves world first with H-KEEPHEAT oven launch L

eading domestic appliance manufacturer, Hoover, is set to

revolutionise the kitchen with its new built-in WiFi oven; H-KEEPHEAT - the first and only oven designed to both cook and preserve food. Representing a real transformation in the world of home cooking, the H-KEEPHEAT is a 75L oven that can be split into two cavities. It is able to keep cooked food in preservation

mode for seven days. Utilising pioneering Exever™ technology

developed with the University of Parma, H-KEEPHEAT brings methods used in commercial kitchens into the home; a professional low temperature cooking technique that ensures food safety and locks in flavour. A complete first in the world of home cooking, H-KEEPHEAT stores food at specific temperatures, safeguarding it against bacterial growth and keeping it at the optimum level for nutritional benefits. Ideal for busy households or people who like to

batch-prepare healthy meals, individual portions of food are vacuum packed before being placed back in the oven for storage. Cooked food, once sealed, can also be kept in the refrigerator when cooled and reheated in the H-KEEPHEAT when required. The main benefit of the H-KEEPHEAT is that it enables people to dedicate time to cooking when preferred and still enjoy the same quality, taste and aroma of the dishes when eaten. Hoover has undertaken market research to help understand people’s cooking habits and statistics reveal that: • People spend 74 minutes cooking food each day; respondents aged 25-34 spend 85 minutes versus people aged 55+ who clock up just 63 minutes a day

• A third (34%) of people think that technology that improves and extends food preservation times would genuinely improve their lifestyle What’s more, the H-KEEPHEAT is a WiFi

appliance, so customers can access and follow recipes through the Hoover Wizard app to help them learn how to get the best out of the technology. Nick Platt, business director, built-in appliances

at Hoover Candy Group, says: “Reheating meals in the microwave never usually delivers the same taste, nutrients and quality as freshly-cooked food, yet this is increasingly becoming the way in which many people eat their meals. Especially those that don’t have time to wait for the oven to do the same job. “The H-KEEPHEAT is Hoover’s answer to this

problem and is a healthy way to cook. “By storing food in the oven at a lower, energy- efficient temperature, it is as good as it would be cooked from scratch that day – in some cases even better as the flavours mature over time. “Storing in individual portions also means that

food waste is reduced, as the right portion sizes, depending on how many people are eating, can be selected, or multiple meals can be preserved at the same time.” The H-KEEPHEAT is also a top-spec Hoover

convection oven and can be used as a traditional oven. For information about Hoover’s innovative appliances, please visit www.hoover.co.uk or @ Hoover_UK on Twitter.
