Blink and you’ll miss it

Hopefully, some of you are feeling the same way – like you closed your eyes in June, two seconds passed, and here we are, already in September. There’s something quite unsettling about the unrelenting passage of time… but on a cheerier note, there are some bumper issues of Electrical Wholesaler in the works, with September being no exception! This month, we’ve decided to split our

end-of-summer issue in two, with a regular read and a lighting special. There’s a variety of lighting-oriented features, news and more in the supplement, but staying with the main issue, the content is just as eclectic. It’s a two-for-one! September is certainly going to be a busy month for all of us in the electrical industry, and the EW team equally so! However, be sure to mark your calendars for September 10th, when the Electrical Industries Charity will be hosting the first ever EIC Day. It’s set to be a fantastic event, celebrating the centenary of the EIC with a whistle-stop tour around all seven continents. There’ll be international beer, snacks and surprises in store – so save the date (And

contact the EIC via 0203 6916 1710 for more information)! You can read more from the EIC on page 22, and elsewhere in the issue, Wylex highlights the importance of Arc Fault Detection Devices (AFDDs) in the wake of new UK wiring regulations [p17], and Vent-Axia’s Tom Wodcke talks premium fans and maximising sales [p25]. Domus walks us through the pertinent points

to weigh up when considering MEV and MVHR systems [p20], Pinnacle celebrates the successes of The Pinnacle Academy [p24], and in our cover story this month, Timeguard introduces us to its growing Pro range, the company’s biggest selling range to date [p10]. Enjoy the issue – we’ll see you in October soon enough!
