T

he growth in LED outdoor lighting is a giſt that keeps giving for the channel. Low running costs mean that more

people are happy to run outdoor lighting and, despite dire predictions that there would be a race to the bottom with low- price, low-margin clone product, it seems that quality and reliability still sells. That’s why Timeguard remains confidently and wholly dedicated to the trade market – and to you. Since Timeguard introduced its LEDPRO range,

it’s been the company’s biggest selling range, proving its investment into producing new

products for 2019/2020. The core concepts behind LEDPRO continue to be providing superior quality and specification and making life easier for installers, and the added features mean you don’t need to discount heavily to win more sales, Timeguard’s first LEDPRO branded

products introduced the idea of modular systems: for the first time, you could offer your customers a choice of mix-and-match black or white slim-line floodlights (from 10W right up to 100W) and switches (PIR or photocell). Installers can choose the right

combination and just plug them

together. Installer friendliness also means that captive screws and cable entries are supplied, as are the extra terminals needed for looping out to build master/slave combinations. It becomes easy to create a whole lighting scene, adding as many slave floodlights as you need up to a total of 140W (LED).

Pan and tilt PIR’s and adjustable time and light level settings ensure that the automatic

premises and needs. Good looks

help to keep the end user happy, too.

Prismatic lenses and tough, rust-proof polycarbonate

reflector plates do away with the need for ugly front ‘windows’. The unusual all-white models, with white casing and matching white reflector

plates will hardly be seen when mounted on a white soffit board. The trade loved the idea, and Timeguard heard its requests for an RF version loud and

clear, and have brought these to market, too. The RF LEDPRO module simply replaces the terminal cover on the floodlight and plugs in to the floodlight, in the same way that the original PIR and photocell modules do. In fact, there’s no need to replace the floodlight to add RF control – the RF module can be retro-fitted in a few minutes as a plug-and-
