“Minimising our
clothes, knowing they’ve been created with care, in a way that doesn’t cost the earth. Original Creator clothing is made in Pakistan
through a vertical knitwear factory, meaning not only do they manufacture the clothes, but they create the materials from start to finish too. Naturally, all the brand’s staff are paid the
standard living wage, not to be confused with minimum wage, and all our cotton is sourced using the BCI (Better Cotton Initiative), guaranteeing all farmers are paid fairly. We have also heavily invested in recycling
plastics and metals for the production of quality finishes, and proudly use only GRS (Global Recycle Standard) certified trims and accessories in our garments. Our clothes are coated with the world’s
first plant-based water repellent finish, Teflon Eco lite. Customers’ items are then carefully packaged in Oxo Bio Plastic bags, with paper labels which are FSC certified. Fashion is responsible for 20 per cent of
industrial water pollution globally, so at every step of our journey, we’re doing all we can to reduce our carbon footprint. Our partners in dyeing have a fully functional
treatment facility and are on track to achieving zero pollutants in the final discharge and reduced water consumption. And in line with the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme, we’re committed to paving the way for cleaner chemical management within the fashion industry. Additionally, our ETP (Effluent Water
Treatment Plant) plan means that through the installation of reverse osmosis plants, people in the local community are able to access clean, portable water. Minimising our reliance on fossil fuels and
moving to greener energy sources wherever possible is always our aim.
Q: What are your aims and objectives for the rest of 2026? CS: To keep on bringing both affordable and quality clothing to the market whilst adhering to our sustainability principles. The Founders of Original Creator wanted to create a clothing brand that customers can count on, and to do that their items needed to be functional, practical and appealing – with plenty of pockets too! So that remains the aim of the brand;
comfort-led clothing matters more than ever, especially for people moving between home, work, travel, and social settings. If our pieces are easy to wear across different parts of the day, they answer a real customer need, and our future collections will be no different.
Q: How are you finding the fashion sector in general, and how do you ensure that Original Creator remains appealing to consumers? CS: We have been manufacturing for over 25 years so we are well versed to tough trading conditions, but our clients love our ranges which offer them real value and a good return on investment. Our collections are designed for modern
lifestyles, where customers want clothing that feels comfortable, looks elevated, and moves with them throughout the day. What makes them appealing is that they offer more than style alone – they represent confidence, individuality, and the mindset of progress over perfection.
