PREVIEW EXHIBITOR NEXT GENERATION GAS SENSORS

With over 300 sensor products for detecting 28 common and exotic gases, Shawcity supplies the latest technology sensors to a diverse customer base

technology, the design avoids using a consumable anode (lead) thereby removing the life-limiting component of many other oxygen sensors. This technology significantly reduces the cost of ownership and the occurrence of field failure, helping manufacturers to reduce their servicing costs. The series offers fast response and

recovery times and is highly stable, with less than five per cent signal loss over the lifetime.

S

hawcity is an EMEA strategic channel partner for City Technology

(including Sensoric), the world’s leading manufacturer of gas sensing technology. With over 300 high performance sensor products detecting 28 common and exotic gases, Shawcity’s range includes 3, 4, 5 and 7 Series, MICROcel, MICROpel and Sensoric sensors.

The sensors are used across various

applications, Shawcity works closely with businesses and organisations operating in fields as diverse as medical, metal processing, chemical, automotive, agriculture, pharmaceutical, textiles, water & waste water treatment, mining, pulp & paper processing, gas detection/monitoring manufacturers, petrochemical, utilities and R&D institutes, including leading universities. Shawcity’s customer base reaches

across the entire EMEA region catering for companies of all sizes and specialisms. Experienced at understanding requirements within the industry, they offer advice for R&D and start-up projects, one-offs and sample sensor orders, account support for quantity breaks and a range of stock available for immediate dispatch. At Sensors & Instrumentation 2017,

Shawcity will be showcasing City’s latest long-life oxygen and carbon monoxide sensors as part of its extensive range of high performance sensors.

4OXLL AND 5OXLL OXYGEN SENSORS The 40xLL and 50xLL long-life oxygen sensors are designed to work in an analyser for seven years, the entire life of the instrument. Available in 4 and 5 Series formats, they offer an enhanced response time in extreme conditions. Based on electrochemical pump

A5F+ CARBON MONOXIDE SENSORS The new A5F+ provides extended range CO sensing (for use up to 20,000ppm) above the capacity of the established A5F sensor. This eliminates the need for a second sensor in instruments certified for ‘high range’ applications. The sensor uses a H2 compensated four electrode design and a high capacity SOx / NOx filter, providing over five years’ life in typical usage cycles. The A5F+ is designed for use in certified EN 50379 compliant instruments.

4F AND 4MF CARBON MONOXIDE SENSORS The 4F and 4MF are low range (0- 20,000ppm) and high range (0- 100,000ppm) CO sensors with robust internal acid gas filters to ensure operational life in demanding environments. These sensors provide superior long-term performance at temperature and humidity extremes, with fast response and recovery times. Manufactured on an automated assembly line, they ensure the highest standards of consistency, reliability and performance. The 4F and 4MF are designed to be used in EN 50379-3 compliant instruments.
