BATTERY-POWERED PRESSURE AND MEDIA TEMPERATURE DISPLAY
provides relay control and data logging functions
Status Instruments has launched a battery-powered indicator that accepts pressure up to 100Bar and features an advanced display mode allowing the user to display
temperature and one to two messages. The device also provides a data logger function that allows recorded pressure and temperature to be viewed on a laptop or smartphone
S
tatus Instruments has launched a new addition to the DM670 series.
The DM670PM battery-powered indicator accepts pressure up to 100Bar and displays the pressure reading along with the media temperature on a six-digit LCD display. Housed in a 100mm stainless steel
enclosure, the instrument is also equipped with two-volt free change over relay contacts, operating independently. The user may select a range of relay actions including deviation, latched or non-latched operation, with fully adjustable set point and hysteresis. One of the relays can be linked to battery condition if required.
ADVANCED DISPLAY MODE The instrument offers an additional advanced display mode allowing the user to display not only temperature but one or two (one – 32 character) messages. This feature is further enhanced by the ability to link display messages to the alarm set point of the relays or battery condition.
DATA LOGGING DM670PM also provides a powerful data logger function. The log points can be set between ten to 3,600. Each point is timeand date stamped and also comes withtemperature or pressure and relay state information. Two methods of reading the log are
available. The in-built USB port allows full configuration and reading of the logged data and allows the user to save to a text file for export to other programs. The NFC android interface allows wireless data transfer from the DM670PM to android phones or tabs. Using the downloadable app, the data can be graphed and/or forwarded by email. The NFC interface is also capable of starting a new log with different log period and modes. For example, the battery powered
DM670PM can be used to display the pressure in a vessel. If the pressure

exceeds a set point, relay one will switch to allow a valve to open. If the pressure is too low then relay two can switch to allow a pump to start. At this point the DM670PM display will indicate the alarm condition and a pre-set message to inform maintenance of the activity. The log data showing how long the
valve / pump have been active and the pressure and temperature recorded can be viewed either on a laptop or by using an NFC enabled Android device to allow wireless transfer of data.
