to us directly at our stand, L70. “On a personal note, it’s great to have the opportunity to connect with our members and the UK public in an environment designed to support enterprising individuals as they explore the possibilities franchising offers.” With the aim of empowering visitors with key information and advice, a programme of over 60 educational seminars combine with plenty of opportunity to receive one-to-one, personalised guidance from industry specialists in the areas of finance, franchise law, and career and business planning. Real Franchise Stories bring prospective franchisees together with existing ones in an interactive Q&A session. Attendees will hear from a panel of franchisees from exhibiting brands as they explain how and why they selected their business, and what the day-to-day operations are like. Visitors with ambitions focused on running a franchise with restaurant giant McDonald’s should register for the McDonald’s Insight Sessions. Here, they will learn what it means to become part of this world-class brand and will have the chance to network with members of the brand’s senior management team. A showcase dedicated to vehicle-based franchises, another to high-investment franchises, and a zone for low-cost
franchising will further help visitors focus on their choices, and a pre-booked matched- meeting service will support them to make the most of their time with key brands. Two conferences run parallel to the exhibition. The free Growing Your Own Business conference offers the inspiration, insights and skills to grow a flourishing business, as entrepreneurs share the secrets of their success, and experts in marketing, PR and social media provide workshops and essential tips. The Multi-unit Franchise Conference,
sponsored by HSBC, will serve anyone looking to expand their existing franchise portfolio and those with the liquid capital to invest in multiple units from the off. The conference is a platform for successful multi-unit franchisees to share unique insights from their years of running portfolios – ranging in size from a handful of outlets to over 100 franchises – with an audience seeking to replicate the same growth and rewards. Plus industry experts will present information on the processes and support available to run a multi-unit and multi-brand franchise business. Helen Wood, portfolio sales manager at
Venture Marketing Group, organisers of The National Franchise Exhibition, summarises what the event offers: “Time after time our franchise events facilitate budding entrepreneurs to achieve their ambitions
of business ownership and enable existing entrepreneurs to expand their horizons. “Under one roof, visitors can evaluate the mechanics of franchising and assess exactly which franchise business suits their ambitions, interests and pocket. They can also source on-the-spot advice on planning for and financing their new business, driving them even closer to their goal.” “I look forward to welcoming our regular exhibitors and a host of new ones, and of course our visitors as we help them along their journey in franchising.”
