Training is delivered by Support Office staff and
some of Anytime Fitness’ expert suppliers and partners, equipping franchisees with key knowledge across club design and construction, property, club operations, pre-sale and marketing. The modules are strategically staggered throughout
franchisees’ journeys with Anytime Fitness, ensuring they have access to the most relevant education available to their current stage of development.
Recruitment and retention AF Academy also comprises an e-learning platform which is available to all franchisees and club teams, providing them with the opportunity to access thousands of online courses. Given the ongoing challenges all sectors currently
face with recruitment and retention of its team members, the platform has proved to be a valuable asset to franchisees, who are able to offer employees career development opportunities, as well as the time and resources to improve their own skills. The courses provide both personal and
professional development opportunities and with the platform being free of charge to access, it’s an incredibly cost-effective way to access high-quality training and empower workforces to take control of their own learning.
AF Coach The latest development to AF Academy is the ability for Anytime Fitness team members to become an accredited fitness professional directly through the platform. With coaching and member support at the heart of Anytime Fitness’ offering, it has partnered
with leading fitness education experts International Fitness Academy (IFA) to increase the accessibility of high-quality personalised coaching to its members. The AF Coach qualification is open to all Anytime
Fitness team members who want to progress their career and gain leading fitness qualifications or to an existing coach looking to upskill. By increasing the depth of the skillsets of its teams,
working alongside the IFA will provide franchisees with the platform to employ AF Coaches themselves and capitalise on the opportunity to earn secondary revenue through providing personalised coaching and personal training to its members. Currently, 62% of personal trainers in the UK are
self-employed and by employing these coaches themselves full-time, the aim is to build deeper relationships with its members and increase the support and community culture within Anytime Fitness clubs. With more health and fitness qualifications to
be added to the platform, Anytime Fitness can offer its team members clear career pathways and opportunities for growth. The benefits to franchisees are significant and the partnership adds further strength to one of Anytime Fitness’ key points of difference of being the gym that cares and going above and beyond for its members.
