territories and resales, ensuring there is support at every step. Here, he explains more about his day-to-day role... A typical day for me begins on the phone,
my role is a lot about communication, so whether it’s catching up with our internal teams at National Offi ce, or an introductory call with a potential new franchisee, I am a central point of contact within the business and the fi rst point of contact for those interested in joining us. On a daily basis I will spend some time
speaking to prospective new franchisees, and throughout these conversations I am looking at cultural and values-based alignment, which is how we ensure the Home Instead mission is projected. I am also looking for a demonstration of growth mindset as well as business/management/project management experience which will help when running a Home Instead franchise. Introductory calls are where both sides discover if this is the right opportunity and if so, it’s from here that we progress the process. I am also responsible for managing the mapping of territories. I do this by analysing
territories, whether that is the structure of a territory or multi-unit acquisitions. I analyse the data of our territories to ensure that they maintain consistent viability and are balanced, fair and equal.
“I’m looking for people with a growth mindset”
On a typical day I’ll also work alongside
our resales team to ensure the process in this area is seamless. From valuations and sales to onboarding and recruitment, as well as marketing and introduction processes. I work with the team to ensure it is smooth and connected. As well as the day-to-day processes of
ensuring our franchisees have a positive experience with Home Instead, I also host our Talk Franchise podcast. This is a great listen for anyone interested in becoming a franchisee as we cover all of the areas that people often have questions about. From funding to multi-unit ownership to who makes a good franchisee, the podcast gives an insight into the world of franchising. The episodes also feature guest speakers from the industry such as the BFA, the banks and experts from within Home Instead.
