Andy, what led you to becoming a Leaflet Delivery UK franchisee? My family were involved in bringing KFC to the UK in the 60’s. I later joined the family KFC franchise ... We had a total of five stores during my tenure, and after we sold them, I approached Andrew of Leaflet Delivery UK since the results we had from leaflet drops were better than anything we achieved through other marketing channels. I was instrumental in helping Andrew launch the network and we now have 15 around the country.

Did low investment influence your decision to join? I encouraged Andrew to keep to a low-cost entry as I knew KFC had done a similar thing in the US.


How was the joining process? How long does it take? Joining is pretty easy. I've seen a new franchise join in less than six weeks.


What's training and support like? Excellent! We have pretty much 5-star ratings across the board and I know that some of the training elements have been picked up by other companies; I believe Royal Mail

service and returns can be as high as 50% on some of the products we have developed. A number of our network make over the total value of the franchise ... in one month! That does require hard work, though!


Would you recommend it to others? Wholeheartedly! It has the strong brand of Royal Mail behind it and, with a little effort, you can become the ‘go-to’ person in your area for quality leaflet delivery. After all, if online supermarket Ocado uses leaflet drops extensively, then it's well worth investigating. And it is also worth mentioning that Leaflet Delivery UK has a 5-star Google rating including for the franchisees – pretty amazing for a leaflet delivery business. 
