Entry requirements
Entry requirements are generally set between A*AA and ABB grade at A level (or equivalent). Some courses have higher entry requirements. We offer Foundation Years for students not eligible for direct entry to some degrees. A agship programme, Ignite Southampton, allows us to offer support to students from groups under-represented in higher education.

Our world-leading business incubator, on-campus start-up
accelerator, and Dragon’s Den venture, complete with capital investors, support our students to set up their own businesses, lead social enterprise, become freelance and launch start ups. Our e-mentoring programme allows students and graduates to connect with alumni across the world for professional advice.

As the fi rst university to offer 247 mental health support, our Student Hub team are on hand to support on anything from wellbeing to fi nance and funding to accommodation and disability support. Whatever a student’s background or situation, we’re committed to making sure they have everything they need to realise their full potential. We have a Student Support Fund, designated to help students that fi nd themselves in unexpected fi nancial hardship. Plus a Personal Academic Tutor will support students through each year of their studies as well as provide career guidance tailored to their fi eld.
