Franchise Focus Young at heart
Caremark attracts franchisees of all ages looking to make a difference INVESTMENT LEVEL: FROM £100,000
C
are at home is a service many of us will probably need at some point in our lives. It is estimated that by 2035, 24 per cent of the population
will be over the age of 65 – more than 17 million people. According to LaingBuisson, the UK care industry is worth more than £6.5billion and this fi gure will only increase. Caremark’s franchise opportunity attracts people from across all industries and ages, although an increasing number of thirty-somethings are signing up. These young entrepreneurs bring an abundance

of energy and ambition, plus a real desire to build a community-based enterprise. They are attracted by the prospect of a long-term business off ering, something that they can build over the years, along with a team of industry experts supporting them throughout their franchise life. Sareet Shah and Priya Desai are among these younger professionals investing in a Caremark franchise. Sareet explains: “Owning our own business was always our dream. Having recently used care at home for a loved one we understand fi rst-hand the importance this has for the individual and their family. “We decided it would be great to enter this industry, as it would allow us to positively impact people’s lives. We pursued franchising, as we were new to the industry and felt we required the support and guidance to help us run a successful business in this sector. We did our due diligence with several domiciliary care providers, but were drawn
to Caremark, as its ethos was the most care centered and aligned best with our own values. We believe by focusing on delivering the highest standard of care, it will lead us to achieving our dream.” Caremark franchisees join the network for similar reasons: they want the opportunity to run their own business and have control over their future but, more importantly, they want a business that will off er personal rewards, rather than just fi nancial freedom. Knowing that you are making a considerable social contribution while building a business is very gratifying and a powerful motivator, too.
